Have A Heart Day 2025

Interview with Community204

Have a Heart Day is February 14, 2025!

What is Have a Heart Day?
Have a Heart Day is a movement led by the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society in Canada. It aims to raise awareness about the inequalities faced by First Nations children, particularly in areas like child welfare and access to essential services. Observed on February 14th every year since 2012, this day encourages people to "have a heart" and advocate for fairness, compassion, and better support for Indigenous children.

A key tradition of Have a Heart Day involves children writing letters to elected officials, urging them to take action for fair treatment. Through education and community involvement, the movement continues to push for positive change.
